2012 Harlem Book Fair Live via Book TV

Book TV is  LIVE for the 14th annual Harlem Book Fair from the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City.

Saturday’s all-day fair features author and Publisher Zane and Scholar Cornel West.

The author panels, which run all day with short breaks between them, include panels about African American publishing followed by a forum on education. Other panels include the 2012 presidential election; and a discussion on the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.

The Harlem Book Fair’s mission is to partner with local and national leadership organizations to promote literacy.  The Fair is the nation’s largest African American literary event celebrating family literacy, community empowerment and community cooperation.
